President Donald Trump on Friday called a female reporter “obnoxious” as she attempted to ask him a question outside the White House.

As journalists shouted questions at the president, he was recorded pointing to someone offscreen and saying, “Quiet.”

Trump then said, “She’s so, she’s so obnoxious.”

Weijia Jiang of CBS News said on Twitter she was the reporter Trump directed these comments at.

Jiang tweeted that Trump "said this about me when I was pressing him about why he declared the nuclear threat from North Korea was already 'over'... a question he has YET to answer."

Trump tweeted on Wednesday that North Korea "no longer" posed a nuclear threat. Observers cast doubt on the claim because the country still harbors all of its nuclear weapons.

North Korea pledged to work toward full denuclearization as part of an agreement signed by Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore this week. The document, however, is vaguely worded and lacks specifics as to how the US will verify North Korea is irreversibly ending its nuclear weapons program.

Trump's Friday-morning comments toward Jiang were not his first lambasting a female reporter. During the 2016 presidential campaign Trump repeatedly attacked MSNBC's Katy Tur, singling her out during rallies.

Though Trump has sparred with specific male reporters as well, critics have taken issue with the way he has sometimes dismissed women in particular, often attacking their appearance and perhaps most famously calling Hillary Clinton a "nasty woman" during a presidential debate.
